Mt. Mitchell Golf Course Information The Mt. Mitchell Golf Course has been rated 4.5 stars out of 5 by Golf Digest Magazine. It's a player-friendly par 72 course with no blind shots and breathtaking scenery. Nestled in the Toe River Valley, the course is virtually flat and features bent grass tees, greens and fairways. The course opens in April and closes during the month of November for the winter. Fine dining and drinks are available at Hawtree's Pub and the pro shop carries excellent golf attire.
